Techno is a genre that originated in Detroit, where it was coined by Juan Atkins in the 1980s. After gaining popularity overseas, it continued to develop in various directions. This article examines six types of techno music, including Detroit techno, acid techno, minimal techno, and industrial techno

Here are some types of techno music: 

• Detroit techno

  This style originated from electro, Chicago house, and industrial, and is characterized by a more brutal style than Chicago house. 

• Ambient techno

  This style combines the atmospheric elements of ambient music with the rhythmic structures of techno. 

• Acid techno

  This style emerged in the late 1980s and is characterized by its use of the Roland TB-303 bass synthesizer, which produces a distinctive "acid" sound. 

• Industrial techno

  This style blends the relentless rhythms of techno with the dark atmosphere of industrial music. 

• Minimal techno

  This style is characterized by a stripped-down, glitchy sound, a simple 4/4 beat, and the repetition of short loops. 

• Tech house

  This style combines the best of house music and techno, with the depth of techno music and the soulful, jazz groovy feels of the house.
