• Goa trance: Also known as Psy Trance, this subgenre originated in Goa, India, and is known for its complex and melodic sound. 

• Progressive trance: A subgenre of trance that was influenced by other genres. 

• Psychedelic trance: A subgenre of trance that was influenced by other genres. 

• Uplifting trance: A subgenre of trance that was influenced by other genres. 

• Vocal trance: A subgenre of trance that was influenced by other genres.
